Great and wonderful things are happening, here are some of them:
The Rotary Club of Ventura East has joined us a sponsor for the city of Buena Ventura. They will be the new contact for all youth and young adults in the Ventura school district.
The Ventura County Star just published almost a full page editorial about the Careers4teens program (click here to read it)
Evie Greene and Romesh Gulrajani gave a presentation to the Simi Sunset Rotary Club, the attendees included the Mayor of Simi and various members from the Schools, University, Adult Education and ROP programs. There was much excitement about the program and the benefits it provided.
The new Four Seasons Hotel, Westlake Village, has begun to interview candidates from the Careers4teens program

La Reina Catholic Girls school just joined our program, this was followed by Moorpark College signing on. In-fact we have already found some placements for young adults from Moorpark College and are helping others from the local schools.
Fr.O’Dwyer of St.Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church has endorsed the program and he is joined by Fr. Haney of St. Paschal Baylon.
The Superintendent of the Conejo Valley Unified School District has authorized the district schools to participate in the Careers4teens program.
Thousand Oaks High School, Newbury Park High School and Westlake High school all came on board and our participating in our program. They join the existing member Agoura High School. Students from all schools are invited to consult their School-to-Career or ROP councilors about their desire to participate in the selection process for PAID, full or part time internships and career training jobs with various employers.
The Rotary Club of Simi Sunset has become a partner in this program and will run and manage the program in the Simi Valley area. Other Rotary Clubs are currently considering joining us as well so the program can be offered to deserving youth throughout Ventura County and adjoining areas.
The Marriott Courtyard and Marriott TowneHomes are opening two new hotels in the Thousand Oaks area. They have several job openings, students are invited to submit their applications and resumes thru the Careers4teens Website to apply for these great opportunities. Currently placements are available at the City of Thousand Oaks, Longs Drugs, Allied Beverages, Tri-County Heating & Air conditioning, Alpha Products Inc. and several other employers.
